MLK Salute to Veterans –   Join the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Gamma Omega Chapter and the Ivy Alliance Foundation along with the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated Upsilon Omega Chapter for the 10th Annual Salute to Veteran’s Sunday Supper on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 at 3 pm. Location will be at the Omega Center, 3900 Goodfellow Blvd, St. Louis, MO. Doors will open at 2 pm. This years theme: “Where do we go from here?” with Retired Major Paul Prosper, as the keynote speaker. Each Veteran can bring one additional guest with them as seating is limited due to the Global Pandemic and CDC guidelines of social distancing. Resource vendors will be available as well. One take home boxed meal will be provided to the Veteran and their guest. Home Loan Workshop –  Home At Last, a not-for-profit organization that educates, advocates and protects Veterans, is hosting a free home loan workshop beginning at 5:00pm CT . They will share information such as things for a Veterans to be aware of when purchasing real estate, predatory lenders/realtors, credit score impact, and more. Food For Vets  –   Food supplies will be available for the first 255 Veteran families in need during this St. Louis area event, which is organized by The Kaufman Fund, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with the Salvation Army. This event is scheduled between 10:00am – 12:00pm and will be held at the Salvation Army Temple Corp Community Center, 27140 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO 63118.
