Transition Summit (Fort Leonard Wood, MO)–  The Association of the United States Army, Fort Leonard Wood Mid Missouri Chapter is hosting a Talk About Transition, Personal Development Summit . Veteran Appreciation Day (Ozark, MO)  – This event is held on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 9:00am – 11:00am at the Ozark Senior Center – 727 N. 9th St, Ozark, MO. Morning Radio Talk Show “Veteran Talk” Segment with MVC’s Lindsey Ward –  Lindsey, a Veteran Services Officer, is a regular guest on this 30-minute segment, which is hosted by KXEO radio station in Mexico, MO (AM 1340),  beginning at 8:00am on the last Thursday of every month. Lindsey will discuss things that matter to Missouri Veterans and their families such as VA programs, benefits, resources, concerns within the Veteran community, and much more. Don’t miss it! Veteran Coffee Talk (Troy, MO) –   This group of Veterans meets every Thursday between 8:30am – 10:00am at the Lincoln County Council on Aging  – 1380 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379. Peer-to-Peer Drop-in Group (Springfield, MO) –  This event takes place every Thursday for Veterans in the Springfield area. Karaoke Practice Session (Springfield, MO) –   Come in and practice a song that you would like to sing, and get tips and hints from karaoke DJs for a better performance. Hire A Veteran Day (Jefferson City, MO)  Join the State of Missouri for a Veteran-focused hiring event featuring several State of Missouri agencies with a formal recognition ceremony honoring our Veterans to follow. Charity Golf Tournament (Ozark, MO) –  The Johnston Companies is hosting a Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the  Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The proceeds will gain support for Tunnel for Towers, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization  that builds specially adapted homes for Veterans and First Responders injured in the line of duty . It also provides Gold Star and Fallen First Responder families with mortgage-free homes. Location : Millwood Golf & Racquet Club, 3700 E. Millwood Drive, Ozark, MO 65721.
