Veteran Coffee Talk –   This group of Veterans meets every Thursday between 8:30am – 10:00am at the Lincoln County Council on Aging  – 1380 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379. They serve a hot breakfast on the third Thursday of each month. For more information, call (636) 528-7000 for visit  their website

Department of Veteran Affair’s Mobile Vet Center Visit –    This is a 37-foot long vehicle is staffed by VA representatives to bring resources and benefits information to Veterans. Women’s Group –  This is a clinical group which meets on the first Thursday of every month between 10:00am – 11:30am at the  Springfield Vet Center, 319 E. Battlefield Rd., Suite B, Springfield, MO 65807. This is intended to help Women Veterans who seek assistance with mental health management such as PTSD and more. An initial assessment would be required prior to attending these group meetings, but this can be arranged by contacting Helen Stewart at (417) 891-4988.

Jefferson City Veterans Council Meeting–   The group meets on the first Thursday of every month, beginning at 7:00pm, located at VFW Post 1003 – 217 E. Capitol Ave., Jefferson City, MO. The public is invited and all council organization members and military personnel (active, reserve and retired) are invited to attend. PTSD Support Group –  This is a non-clinical group led by a spouse of a Vietnam Veteran who is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. This is a peer support group for family and friends of Vietnam Veterans. It is held weekly from 1:00pm – 2:30pm inside Group Room 2 at the  Springfield Vet Center, 319 E. Battlefield Rd., Suite B, Springfield, MO 65807. An initial assessment would be required prior to attending these group meetings, but this can be arranged by contacting Helen Stewart at (417) 891-4988.

Veterans Connection Breakfast –  This event is regularly held on the first Saturday of every month beginning at 8:30am, where Veterans meet for breakfast, support, fellowship and inspiration. Morning Radio Talk Show “Veteran Talk” Segment with MVC’s Arthur Nott-Hopkins –  Arthur, a Veteran Services Officer Supervisor, is a regular guest on this 30-minute segment, which is hosted by KWIX radio station in Moberly, MO (AM 1230 & FM 92.5),  beginning at 8:33am on the first Monday of every month. Arthur will discuss things that matter to Missouri Veterans and their families such as VA programs, benefits, resources, concerns within the Veteran community, and much more. Don’t miss it! PACT Act Town Hall –   This event will be held from 2:30pm – 5:30pm at American Legion Post #131 – 733 E. Young Avenue, Warrensburg, MO 64093. Veterans will have an opportunity to ask questions about the PACT Act, share concerns, meet other Veterans, register for VA Health Care, speak to a Veteran Services Officer from the Missouri Veterans Commission about benefits and resources, and much more. Veteran African-American Heritage Month Event  During African American Heritage Month, The Center for Minority Veterans (CMV) is conducting a minority Veteran outreach, engagement, education, and enrollment effort.

All attendees will be provided information on minority Veteran disparities, PACT Act, and other services provided by the VA.

 They aim to inform Veterans of their benefits by hosting three events with the first being on February 8, 2023. Followed by another on February 15th, and CMV’s final presentation on February 22, 2023

Estate Planning Assistance for Veterans (“Will Clinic”) –  The following free services will be provided to Veterans and their spouses: simple wills, powers of attorney, living wills and health care directives. Boeing Manufacturing Career Event  Boeing is bringing the future of unmanned aircraft carrier aviation to the U.S. Navy with the MQ-25, and it will be built in the future state-of-the-art facility in Mascoutah, IL. Tigers for Troops Legal Consultation Services –  The Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic, through its Tigers for Troops program, will be holding free legal consultations for veterans regarding their VA disability compensation appeals and discharge upgrades on Friday, February 17, 2023 between 9:00am – 4:00pm. Monthly Cup of Joe Veteran Breakfast –  James Smith, a Veteran Services Officer, host this breakfast, open to all Veterans, on the first Wednesday of every month at Cornerstone Church – 1702 N.
