The Missouri Veterans Cemeteries Program hosts Memorial Day Events every year. The events are held at each of our five locations to honor all the individuals who lost their lives in service to their country. In preparation for the events, several of the Cemeteries are looking for volunteers. Below is information on volunteer opportunities and information for each event. 

Volunteer Opportunities 

Many of the Cemeteries need help preparing the grounds for Memorial Days. Click on the tabs below to find out what kind of help they are looking for and the times and dates available for volunteering. 

The Missouri Veterans Cemetery Bloomfield is looking for volunteers that are interested in coming out to pull weedsclean benchesplant grass seed, clean headstones, and pick up sticks and limbs as we prepare for our upcoming Memorial Day service on May 29th.

We are looking for individuals and groups.

Dates for volunteering include May 12, May 15, May 18, and (possibly) May 24, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The Missouri Veterans Cemetery Fort Leonard Wood is looking for volunteers that are interested in coming out to pull weeds and pick up sticks and limbs as we prepare for our upcoming Memorial Day service on May 29th.

We are looking for individuals and groups for Wednesday May 17 –  8:00-3:00

Thursday May 25 11:30-4:00 (Flag setting day)
