Mid-West Women Veterans Association
Mid-West Women Veterans Association (MWWVA) is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to assist Woman Veterans by streamlining information and promoting personal and professional growth. MWWVA offers an annual event that is FREE to all Women Veterans that provides an opportunity for learning and a chance to rekindle the pride in their service that is lost as they take on different roles in society.

Women Veterans have unique issues that need to be addressed and they need a contact person who can give them guidance in the right direction for assistance. Some of those issues are: sexual trauma counseling & care, homeless women veterans with children, women’s health care (including breast cancer), osteoporosis and PTSD, injured W/V returning from war were primary care givers, now who takes care of the family/children, gender specific disability claim (military & VA disabilities), and more. This Coordinator position is currently vacant, but please call 573-751-3779 for more information, as the Missouri Veterans Commission staff will be glad to provide assistance.
Rape & Abuse Crisis Service (RACS)
Their mission is to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through advocacy, counseling, and shelter services in a space designed for healing and hope.
Safe Passage Shelter
Offers emergency shelter and services for individuals and families who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse around the Moberly area. All services are free and confidential. Arrangements can be made for male victims through motels. For more information CALL: (800) 616-3754
